About MKT.TRADE

FORTY YEARS.
ONE FRAMEWORK.

MKT.TRADE is not a startup's idea of what traders need. It is a forty-year analytical practice that finally has the delivery system it was waiting for.

01 — The Floor

1986. STRUCTURE WAS THE PRODUCT.

I'm John Slazas. In 1986 I launched PriceMap as a subscription research service under JS Services Research and Trading — hand-delivered daily to professional floor traders and institutional execution desks at the CME, CBOT, and CBOE.

The premise was simple and it has never changed: markets have structure, and structure is knowable. Not as prediction — as fact. PriceMap defined the objective price levels where markets make their decisions, before the open, every day. Floor traders carried it into the pit because it told them where they were.

Through the 1990s the framework deepened. MarketColor translated the floor's sensory intelligence — the feel of a market that veteran traders read in the noise around them — into mathematics: twenty-six signature market states defining what kind of environment a trader is actually executing into. The Playbook followed naturally: known structure, known state, known strategic edge. IF/THEN, before the move instead of after it.

02 — The Wilderness

THE FLOOR CLOSED. THE FRAMEWORK DIDN'T.

Then the professional floor community dispersed. Electronic trading, the rise of HFT, the closure of the floors themselves — the analytical framework was unchanged, but the clients who once stood shoulder to shoulder at the exchange scattered permanently. The distribution channel was gone.

The rebuild took far longer than it should have, and not by choice. A decade-long build was derailed twice — first by the death of my lead developer mid-project, then by a ransomware attack that destroyed the codebase outright. Multiple development teams afterward failed to reproduce the analytical foundation correctly.

The method survived all of it, because I never stopped trading on it. I bought Bitcoin in 2013 and Ethereum in 2016 — not as trades, as a conviction about where markets were going — and spent the following decade running advisory mandates and a fund on the same framework that was once carried onto the floor, now applied to the most volatile instruments ever created. That is exactly where structure earns its keep.

03 — The Machine

2024. THE FRAMEWORK GOES LIVE.

Navigator was born of necessity, not ambition. MKT.CAPITAL runs managed-capital programs trading BTC and ETH options — markets that average 50%–60% 30-day implied volatility, never close, and carry gamma risk around the clock. With a small team, we needed to clone ourselves to support our own trade management. Agentic support was the path. Navigator was the result.

The right team came together in 2024. The intelligence stack that existed as a blueprint for a decade is now live: PriceMap across 600+ instruments and every timeframe from Daily to Yearly, MarketColor's 26 states, the Playbook's strategy framework, Strategy Alerts — and Navigator, the AI agent that sits on top of all of it.

Navigator is what the framework was waiting for. For forty years the depth of these analytics was also their barrier — they took education to use. An AI agent connected live to the full stack, calibrated to the individual trader's own mandate and markets, makes the entire depth accessible in plain language without simplifying a single number. It doesn't predict and it doesn't decide. It tells you where you are. A compass, not a command.

The analytics are fact-based, quantitative, and non-predictive. They are the same day after day, year after year —
because they are based on market truths.
04 — The Company

APPLIED BY MKT.CAPITAL.

MKT.TRADE provides the intelligence stack. MKT.CAPITAL applies it under written mandate — the managed-capital application of the same framework, and an active market participant. We trade on these analytics every day. That is the difference between an intelligence stack built by traders and a platform built by a content team: we use what we sell, and we feel it when it's wrong.
